Welcome to Glenville House(Adults Only)
This charming, traditionally built Victorian Lakeland stone guest house was built in 1888 and is a former Gentleman’s Residence, retaining a lot of its original character. The atmosphere is relaxed and tranquil.
Glenville House sits in its own grounds backed by Mill Beck and Sheriffs Wood where, if you are lucky, you will see deer, squirrels and a wide range of birds…you may even spot a Buzzard!
The guest house offers seven luxurious en-suite rooms with colour flat screen TV’s, i-pod docking stations and free WIFI.
This is Room 7 – a classic second floor room, situated at the rear of the house, with lovely woodland views. Visit our Bedrooms page for images of the other rooms available at Glenville House.
We have our own private car park so please feel free to leave your vehicle and have a lovely day trip by Bus, Tour Minibus, Boat, Steamer or even a taxi ride on the Taxi Trike from Bowness.
There is an endless list of places to visit, things to do and see, in and around the Lake District and its surrounding areas. If you need any local information whilst staying at Glenville House, we will be delighted to assist you.
If your idea of a holiday in the Lake District is one of a relaxing time, lots of fresh country air and an abundance of things to see and do, then Glenville House is an excellent place to stay.
For one of the most popular B&B’s in Bowness-on-Windermere, the heart of the English Lake District, look no further than Glenville House.
