All 6 bedrooms are of a comfortable size. We now have 4 Superior rooms and 2 Deluxe rooms which have been refurbished in early 2007.

Superior rooms have King sized beds. Deluxe rooms are even larger and have a bath & shower in the ensuite... one of which is on the ground floor overlooking the front garden and the other has a Super King sized bed.

All our rooms have ensuite facilities with luxury toiletries, towels and bathrobes provided. Widescreen flat TV with Freeview, CD clock/radio, trouser press, quality hairdryer and an enhanced Welcome Tray which is replenished daily.

For that special occasion or even just as a treat a combination of Flowers, Champagne, Chocolates or even a Lakeland Hamper filled with local produce can be placed in your room prior to arrival or for the special day itself.

If your idea of a holiday in the Lake District is one of a relaxing time, lots of fresh country air and an abundance of things to see and do then Glenville House is an excellent place to stay.

The veiw from the rear .

We think it is important to start the day right and our delicious freshly cooked Traditional Cumbrian Breakfast with many locally produced ingredients takes some beating, vegetarians and special diets are catered for if you let us know your requirements when booking your stay with us.

With over 70 restaurants and eating houses within a 10 minute walk of Glenville House you will be spoilt for choice for dinner each evening, with this in mind we only offer B&B.

Situated on the main road, midway between Bowness and Windermere, Glenville is perfectly positioned for access to all amenities... the lake is an easy ten minutes walk away.

This charming Victorian Lakeland-Stone House was built in 1888 and was a former Gentleman's Residence and is set in it's own grounds backed by Mill Beck and Sheriffs Wood where if you are lucky you will see deer, our family of squirrels and a range of birds...you may even spot a Buzzard!

We have our own private car park so please feel free to leave your vehicle and have a lovely day trip by Bus, Tour Minibus, Boat, Steamer or even a taxi ride on the Taxi Trike from Bowness.
