Booking Terms and Conditions
Please note neither the standard daily tariff, nor any of the special offers mentioned on the Glenville House website, are available for reservations made via commission based web agents, including Late Rooms and Booking.com, as online booking fees will apply.
Rates – are per room per night for up to 2 adults sharing a double room. Please note Glenville House caters exclusively for adults over the age of 18.
Bed and Breakfast – the rate includes choice of cereals, juices, tea/coffee & cooked breakfast.
Room Only – no breakfast included.
Weekends – are subject to a minimum 2 night stay.
Bank Holiday Weekends – are subject to a minimum 3 night stay and the tariff is based on our 1 night rate.
Reservations – can be made by telephone, e-mail or directly online.
Room Arrival Time – guests are welcome to check-in from of 15.00hr. A key safe code may be sent to you for self check in on your arrival day.
Apartment or Group Arrival Time – guests are welcome to check-in from of 16.00hr. A key safe code may be sent to you for self check in on your arrival day.
Check-out – Individual rooms by 10.30hr on the day of departure. 10.00hr for the apartment and groups.
Deposit – payment in full at time of booking. We require the start and expiry dates (and/or issue number), the 3 digit security number from the back of the card (on the signature strip) the postcode and house number relating to the cardholder.

We also accept payment by American Express for a small additional fee. Credit card payments are subject to a handling fee.
Cancellation Policy – a confirmed reservation to stay at Glenville House, whether by telephone, e-mail or in writing, constitutes a contract in law. Please note your deposit is not refundable under any circumstances. However, should you need to cancel your stay at Glenville House, providing you give seven or more days notice, we will offer you a transfer of dates which must be taken within 3 months of the original date of stay (Bank and/or Public Holiday periods and Valentine’s are exempt).
We recommend you take out holiday/cancellation insurance to cover this cost, as there are no exceptions to the above terms and conditions.
Allocation of Room – we will always do our best to accommodate requests for a specific room, however, due to the needs and/or constraints of the business, Glenville House reserves the right to allocate guests an alternative room within the guest house, equal to or better than the one requested, should the need arise.
Non-Availability of Room – we would only cancel your booking if accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Damages and Breakages – please be aware that you are responsible and liable for any breakage or damage you cause to the property, or its contents, during your stay. Please take care and report any such breakage or damage should they occur. We do not normally charge for minor accidental breakages, but we may charge you the full cost to repair or make good any significant breakage or damage caused by misuse, or if you fail to notify us during your stay.
Apartment & Groups Noise/Damage Deposit – To ensure that the noise rules will be followed, a small returnable noise/damage deposit is required for all bookings paid via BACS or cash (not credit card). Outdoor use only allowed until 10.30pm due to noise levels for the surrounding properties. All guests must come inside and close the doors before this time. No loud music or loud parties are permitted at any time.
Liability – please be aware that Glenville House does not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Environmental Statement – we recycle all newspapers/magazines, glass bottles, cans, cardboard and plastics. We request that guests only put their towelling for laundering when absolutely necessary and they switch off all electrical appliances and lighting when not in use.
